I dont know what it means. I do know if that if it happened to me, then I would want to have a really serious conversation with this potential therapist about how this is going to work long term.

As far as rates go - you might have some local community clinics that offer sliding scale therapy. These usually use interns who are just finishing up their schooling, and need the internship hours.

Still - they can still work out well.
