Default Re: Socialized can be hypnotized

The phrase that "anyone who can be socialized can be hypnotized" is not from Erickson. It is from me. I coined the phrase to emphasize that the socialization process is a process or inducing perceptions, beliefs, feelings, behaviors, and so on....and so...if one is capable of getting so socialized/induced, one has the skill set to be hypnotized.

Erickson, on the other hand, said that he believed that everyone except for those who were severaly brain damaged could be hypnotized. I think this is found in the "hypnotherapy casebook" by Rossi and Erickson. (I *think* that is were it is stated).
