Thank you for bringing this to the forum. I remember when "self-esteem" meant the way that we "esteem", or estimate ourselves. (Not the way that we make false claims of superiority over others) True estimation requires that we estimate ourselves and others with accuracy, and with mutual and self-respect. True estimation leads to "significance", and away from the mistakes of over-superiority or inferiority.
