Arrow Collectivism & Warming

Models from statistical physics (Bianconi & Barabasi, 2000; Barabasi, 2002; Csermely, 2006; Brody, 2003, 2006, 2008) predict collapse of scale-free organizations into winner-take-all as a response to stress and resource scarcity. In human terms: invasions, famines, droughts, and disease increase the probability of swarming. It's happened in Russia, China, Germany, Britain, and the United States. One tactic for a group in power is to exaggerate such threats or to let them go unattended. The United States, for example, has approximately 500 years of coal, even if it were all converted into liquid forms.

One could see conservationists as wanting one world of near equals instead of an emergent network of multiple hubs. Restricting the assets of major players should work in their direction. On the other hand, simply restricting supplies makes it more likely they remain in power for doing a "good" thing...

"The Weather Channel has lost its way, according to John Coleman, who founded the channel in 1982...Coleman told an audience at the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change on March 3 in New York that he is highly critical of global warming alarmism. "

"Former Thatcher Adviser Monckton Warns Global Warming Alarmism 'Kills People If You Get the Science Wrong'

"Speaking at international conference, he blames the propagation of the global warming 'scare' on a combination of factors, including the 'the media wanting a scare story.'

By Jeff Poor

".... According to (Lord Christopher) Monckton, the movement behind global warming alarmism can be traced to some ugly things, and being wrong about it could have a grave impact on humanity...'I think the question you're asking is who's behind the scare,' Monckton said. 'There's been a long history of scares recently and scientific frauds of various kinds... Now here we are once again with another scare,' Monckton said...It's the same people behind it. It's the international left. It's the media wanting a scare story. … It's not so much a conspiracy I think, as a coincidence of outer interests who is set to take and advance their causes collectively by getting behind this nonsense.'"
