cognitive therapy private practice

Hi ,
I am about to come to the end of my CBT training and I plan to work as a private practioner as well as working for the NHS. There are very few accreditated therapist in the wales area and I am aware of this deficit and need at this moment in time. I would apreaciate any information or hints that might be helpful in starting up a private practive also any pitfuls that I might encounter. :(

I'd particularly encourage participants from the UK to respond. I suspect that there are important differences between private practice in the UK and private practice in the US.

In the UK the BABCP has a very active mailing list that members can use to discuss things like this amongst themselves.

There is also this book (though I have not read it): The Essential Skills for Setting up a Counselling or Psychotherapy Practice
by Gladeana McMahon, Stephen Palmer and Christine Wilding, 2005, Brunner-Routledge
